BIRTH AND CHILDHOOD:

Bill Gates was born in Seattle, Washington in a wealthy family on October 28, 1955. He is the son of William H. Gates Sr. (1925–2020) and Mary Maxwell Gates (1929–1994).

Bill had a sister, Kristi, and a younger sister, Libby.

Bill liked to play board games and was champion at most everything he did. He was an intelligent student and his favourite subject in school was math. His parents kept him occupied with outside activities like Boy Scouts and reading science fiction books.

When Bill turned thirteen his parents sent him to the Lakeside Preparatory School. 

 At Lakeside, Bill met his future business partner Paul Allen. He also was introduced to computers at Lakeside. In 1970, at the age of 15, Gates and Allen went into business together, developing "Traf-o-Data," a computer program that monitored traffic patterns in Seattle. They netted $20,000 for their efforts.

CAREER AND SUCCESSFUL LIFE:

At that time, computers were not in public use. There were not PC, laptops and tablets like we have now.

Computers were occupied by industrial sectors and companies and those computers needed a large area or space to setup.

Gates graduated from Lakeside in 1973.

Gates enrolled at Harvard University in 1973, with a thinking of a career in law. Bill Gates dropped out of college in 1975 to pursue his business, Microsoft, with partner Paul Allen. 

Gates spent more of his time in the computer lab than in class. Both of them had different nature and have been included in some clashes. despite of it, they stayed together and worked together.

HOW MICROSOFT STARTED?

In 1975, when most of Americans used typewriters, childhood friends Bill gates and Paul Allen found Microsoft, a company that makes computer software in Albuquerque, New Maxico.

Gates and Allen started Microsoft called as Micro-Soft, (microprocessors and software) to produce software for the Altair 8800, an early personal computer. 

By the end of 1978, Microsoft’s sales more than $1 million and in 1979 the bussiness moved its headquarters to Bellevue, Washington.

 In 1985, Microsoft released a new operating system known as Windows with a graphical user interface included many features.

Microsoft had become the world’s biggest personal-computer software company.

Mr. Bill Gates held Forbes title of the richest person in the world between 1995 and 2010, and again from 2013 to 2017.

And now Bill Gates has a worth of apprx.

$110 billion.

Bill Gates and his wife Melinda donates a big amount of thier worth to children's health and development through their foundation.
